The Art of Handmaking

Craftsmanship

Every rug we make is woven entirely by hand — no machines, no shortcuts.

Shop Handmade Rugs

A rug can be made by hand using several techniques and different materials. Each yarn comes with its own characteristic property, appeal, strength, and durability. Our master weavers in Bhadohi play with a wide variety of materials — from traditional wool and silk to viscose, bamboo silk, banana silk, and PET yarn. Their dexterous hands twist, knot, weave, and loop to create textiles of extraordinary beauty.

The Finest Technique

Handknotted

The oldest and most revered rug-making tradition. Each knot is tied individually by hand around the warp and weft — anywhere from 50,000 to over a million knots in a single piece. Our master weavers spend months on one rug. The result is extraordinary density, permanence, and character. A handknotted rug does not just furnish a room — it outlasts it.

Design Meets Craft

Handtufted

Skilled artisans push yarn through a tufting canvas by hand — a technique that enables sculptural forms, bold colour fields, and intricate patterns no machine can replicate. From subtle textures to elaborate multi-level carvings, handtufted rugs offer remarkable design flexibility drawn from four generations of weaving knowledge.

Rhythm of the Loom

Handloom

Woven on vertical looms entirely by hand, handloom rugs carry the rhythm of the loom in every thread. Our weavers use rods and shuttles to create mesmerising textures in single-tone colours — lighter, more fluid, and deeply meditative in character. Each piece celebrates the clean lines of contemporary design alongside the organic imperfection only human hands can create.

India's Heritage Textile

Flatweave / Dhurrie

India's most democratic textile — made on simple flat looms, used across palace floors and family homes alike for centuries. Lightweight, reversible, and endlessly versatile, flatweave dhurries work as beautifully outdoors as they do inside a minimal living room. Our collection honours the geometric grammar of traditional dhurrie weaving through a contemporary design lens.
